Moran recently retrofitted one of its high-powered vacuum loaders with a 'Hy-Rail' system, which is designed to allow equipment to operate along rail tracks.
The 'Hy-rail' system allows crews to access previously un-accessible areas along the right of way, and will increase production on both a planned and emergency basis.
The vacuum loader is a high powered CUSCO high-dump unit, capable of handling either liquid or solid materials. Powered by a 4500 CFM blower, the unit is ideal for removal of contaminated track ballast. An added feature of the unit is its ability to dump collected debris into a roll-off container without additional equipment. This further increases our production rate, and will minimize time that impacted track will be removed from service.
The 'Hy-rail' operates out of our East Providence, Rhode Island location, which allows it to service customers throughout the Northeast rail corridor system.
Moran's employees and equipment operators are trained to work along all of the local rail systems, including CSX, Amtrak, MBTA, MBCR & Metro North
