Moran Environmental Recovery is a recognized leader in responding to spills in the Marine environment. The company owns an extensive inventory of specialized equipment including boats, skimming systems, containment booms and temporary storage units.
Under the USCG's Oil Spill Removal Organization (OSRO) program, Moran is an OSRO certified contractor in Captain of The Port Zones (COTP's) throughout the United States East Coast. These classifications allow plan holders to select Moran as their response provider, with the knowledge that the company's expertise, experience and assets have been audited by the USCG's National Strike Force.
Moran works closely with two nationally-recognized organizations, National Response Corporation (NRC) and Marine Spill Response Corporation (MSRC) to provide response services for (WCD) Worst Case Discharge Scenarios. As a preferred subcontractor to both organizations, Moran's personnel routinely train on their specialized equipment, and are tasked with deployment of such on actual events.
In the Philadelphia area, Moran is also a subcontractor to the Delaware Bay River Cooperative (DBRC), an active oil spill cooperative servicing the major refining industry along the Delaware River.
Moran Environmental Recovery is a member of the Spill Control Association of America (SCAA), the leading trade group in the oil spill response industry.
