AMPD Coverage

Moran Environmental Recovery is an experienced AMPD response contractor, serving organizations associated with water-borne transportation services across the United States east coast.

AMPD (average most probable discharge) means a discharge of the lesser of 50 barrels of oil or 1 percent of the cargo from the vessel during cargo oil transfer operations to or from the vessel.  Response plan regulations state that AMPD response personnel should be notified and mobilized (underway) within a time frame sufficient to enable them to reach the transfer site within 1 hour for boom and 2 hours for other oil recovery equipment.

Moran provides AMPD stand-by services, as well as spill response; from each of it's stratically located offices.  Our staff is available to provide guidance on meeting all of your AMPD needs.
