Moran Environmental Recovery LLC assists in the cleanup of an oil spill on the Savannah River

Moran Environmental Recovery LLC (MER) assisted in the cleanup of an oil spill on the Savannah River.  A fuel tank ruptured on Sunday on a ship at Georgia Ports' Ocean Terminal, releasing an estimated 7,000 gallons of low-sulfur diesel fuel to the Savannah River.  The spill closed the river to vessel traffic for several hours.

Working alongside the Coast Guard, and local Emergency Response officials, MER provided cleanup-personnel, vacuum trucks, skimmers, powered work-boats, and absorbents to clean-up the spill.
