MER Assists Local Utilities in the wake of Powerful Nor'Easter
Moran Environmental Recovery works around the clock to assist local utility providers to restore power in the area hardest hit by this past weekend's Nor'easter. The storm started on March 13th, and left much of Fairfield County without power. Strong winds brought down trees, utility lines & poles, and caused transformer spills. MER provided our High-Haz Response Trucks, Spill Trailers, Roll-off Trucks & Cans, Excavation Equipment, Absorbents & Drums to assist in cleaning up over 100 transformer spills from downed utility poles. As many as 20 personnel worked around the clock with Environmental Managers to clean-up spills so that utility workers could restore power. Following the completion of oil spill clean-up, MER provided site-restoration services.
