MER provides clean-up crews to assist in wake of record rainfall & flooding in New England

Moran Environmental Recovery is assisting utility providers and transportation groups to clean-up in the wake of record flooding in Southern New England.  Rhode Island is one of the areas hardest hit by flooding.  MER personnel are working to clean-out power sub-stations, so that power can be restored.  Because of the flooding, Water Treatment Plants have over-flowed, releasing raw sewerage to the flooded areas.  To provide Utility Crews access to the sub-stations, MER is using biocide's and cleansers to clean the substations of any biological concerns.  Once complete, the Utility's are able to restore power.

Additionally, MER is working with rail service providers to pump water out of flooded areas.  MER is using high volume pumps to remove water from rail tracks so that trains may pass safely.
